If you don’t have the money to pay for a personal trainer, that’s okay. Just be sure to know your capabilities so that you don’t strain or over exert yourself. You can assess yourself with a simple formula that the trainers use.
Before getting into that, lets discuss Cardiovascular Zones. There are three zones when it comes to your maximum heart rate (HR) and its efficiency. (Cardio Eff.) They are simply called Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3.
- Zone 1 is 65% ⇒ 75% of your maximum heart rate. (Max HR)
- Zone 2 is 80% ⇒ 85% of your Max HR.
- Zone 3 is 86% ⇒ 90% of your Max HR.
So, how do you find out what your maximum heart rate is? This is easy. Just subtract your age from the magic number, 220. If you are 35 years old, then (220 − 35=185) your maximum heart rate would be 185 beats per minute, or 185bpm.
